Good Shepherd School Enrollment

Good Shepherd School accepts children regardless of race, color, religion, ability to pay or special needs.

Good Shepherd School is an Episcopal School, which serves children from age 3 months to 5 years. The school is open year-round. Programming runs September through May serving as a school-year program, followed by a 12-week summer program. Enrollment for the school year program is in March, followed by enrollment for the summer program in April.

School Year Enrollment is done online on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority Registration is given to currently enrolled students and active members of the church. One week later, registration is opened to students on our Waiting List who never got a spot this current school year. Both groups will be emailed a link. Two weeks later, Open Enrollment begins. A link will be posted on our Facebook Page and our website for Open Enrollment. School year enrollment requires an $85 non-refundable Registration Fee and a $200 deposit. If you withdraw by May 31st, your deposit will be refunded. Otherwise, the deposit can only be credited to your September invoice. Open Enrollment is in March.

Summer enrollment follows in April. Enrollment for the Summer Program is done in person. Applications will be ready as soon as the School-year Enrollment is complete. There is no deposit required for the Summer Program. There is a $35 non-refundable Registration Fee. The hours for the Summer Program are 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., plus Extended Care, if utilized. Should there be a conflict for space, all things being equal, priorities will be:

  1. Communicants in present programs
  2. Currently enrolled children
  3. Communicants in good standing
  4. Staff children
  5. Siblings of presently enrolled children
  6. Siblings of alumni
  7. Children of alumni
  8. Members of the community at large

Once March registration is complete for the next school year, students are accepted throughout the year as long as space is available.

Upon admission, each child must present the following:

  1. A current immunization and health record
  2. A signed statement of Policies and Procedures
  3. Signed enrollment agreements, which include a Permissions and Release Form
  4. An emergency transportation release form

Each child shall have reached the appropriate age for a class before August 15 to enter the program unless parent, staff and director agree upon a special arrangement.

Children will advance to a higher class in September unless there are special circumstances.

Children will be placed into classes according to several criteria:

  1. Parental choice of days
  2. Classroom dynamics
  3. Girl/Boy ratio
